Union Square

The heart of the city, Union Square (Piața Unirii) features an impressive collection of baroque buildings and is home to the Roman Catholic and Serbian Orthodox Cathedrals standing side by side, symbolizing the city's religious diversity.

Victory Square

Dominated by the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral with its 11 towers, Victory Square (Piața Victoriei) is lined with elegant Secessionist palaces. The square was the main site of the 1989 Revolution demonstrations.

Liberty Square

One of the oldest squares in Timișoara, Liberty Square (Piața Libertății) features the Old City Hall and military buildings from the Habsburg era, showcasing the administrative center of the historic Cetate district.
